No. AMGTF does not provide coaching lessons for beginners. We teach golf professionals to teach golf.

Interested parties may contact our organization and we will refer them to our members who are teaching professionals.

There are many golf schools that teach you to play golf but our focus is on teaching you how to teach, which involve:-

1. Knowing the physics of the swing whereby there is a lot on centrifugal force and law of motion. The teacher needs to know this in order to teach the proper swing. The student who is learning to play does not need to know this in detail. All he needs to know is to do what the coach tells him to do.

2. There are misconceptions about weight tranfer when you swing the golf club. The tranfer is like walking. When you walk, which part of your body moves first ? The upper body or lower ? The usual answer is lower body (ie. The legs). This is not right. The coach needs to know this but the student does not need to know this. These are some examples! This is the difference between a golf school for beginners who want to pick up golf and a golf school for teachers.

We were formerly USGTF Asian Division. We together with European Golf Teachers Federation (EGTF) are members of the World Golf Federation. We now call ourselves AMGTF with exactly the same personnel doing the same program. Most of our former members have opted to switch over their affiliation to us. The reason for the change is that we believe in delivering a much higher quality in terms of content and professionalism.

No. We are not related in any way to the PGA.

Our members are teaching in various golf clubs in Asia, in particular Taiwan, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Australia. In Europe, our affiliated members of EGTF are teaching in various golf clubs as well. As students become more sophisticated, the preference is to go to a specialist and we are specialist golf teachers.

If you enjoy teaching golf and can communicate well, you can be a good golf teacher. We will arm you with the knowledge to be a specialist golf teacher.
